Chatil de Lomagne

Practical information

Arrival and departure days are counted as stay-days.

  • One cat - €12 per day (this includes food, litter, toys, TLC). Example, one cat for 10 days (say from the 7th thru 16th of the month) = 10 x €12 = €120.
  • Two cats -from the same household which share a chalet: €18 per day. Example, two cats for 12 days (say from the 14th thru 25th of the month) €18 x 12 = €218.
  • Three cats - from the same household which share a chalet €24 per day.
There are 2 supplements to this pricing:

Firstly an additional €15 if we have to take your cat to the vet (includes making the appointment and keeping you updated).

Secondly, for bedroom compartment heating in winter, €1.80 per day.

The busiest times  are July/August and Christmas/New Year. Our first Christmas booking this year was at the beginning of April.

If desired, we will come and collect your cat. The taxi fare depends on the distance and the duration of stay, please ask for an estimate. This service is free for owners living within a radius of 10km. GPS has made the job of finding addresses much easier, and we have boarders who have used our taxi service to/from Pibrac, Colomiers, Tournefeuille, Seilh, Auch, Isle Jourdain, St Clar, Pessan, Lectoure, Auvillar and Valence d’Agen. We’ve been as far as Bordeaux (to fetch 2 cats which stayed 5 weeks).

Most cats which don’t travel often don’t travel well. It’s very stressful for them. Usually when they leave home in a travel box it’s to go to the vet’s.

Here are 3 tips:

  •  Stay calm yourself, arrange the taxi pick-up to be before you need to get your own suitcases out of the cupboard. Get your cat’s holiday bag ready first: vaccination book, completed and signed veterinary questionnaire, his/her bed/blanket, special food (if appropriate) and favourite toys.
  • No dry food for breakfast on the travel day, but water should always be available.
  • Put kitchen paper or newspaper in the bottom of the travel cage, it’s easier to clean later.

There is a small summer studio gîte to rent on site, useful to know if you are travelling or house hunting.

We are members of the professional union SNPCC
