Frequently Asked Questions

  1. My cat isn't vaccinated. Can he come and stay?
  2. We accept cats in good health which have had at least one documented vaccination for typhus/coryza/leucose.

  3. We have just got a 6 week old kitten and are going on holiday. Will you take care of it?
  4. No, sorry, it's too young and has no immune system.

  5. Our family cat is 19. Can she stay?
  6. Yes if she's well. We feed older cats 3 or 4 times daily, very small varied portions. Heritage-cat owners usually bring their own food.

  7. Can we bring our 2 cats in the same travel box?
  8. Not a good idea. Cats remember traumatic events and the stress caused spoils the first few days of their stay. Stress lowers the immune system and makes the cat more vulnerable to health issues.

  9. Is long term stay possible?
  10. Perhaps, depends on the details.

  11. Our vet has prescribed various medications for our diabetic cat which got in a fight. Will you continue to give these medications while we're away?
  12. There's no guarantee. We'll do our best but we don't wrestle with a frightened boarder. Sometimes the treatment is worse than the problem.

  13. Our cat hates dogs.
  14. We don't board dogs. Our resident dog is not allowed in the building and anyway ignores the cats.

  15. Can we have news of our cat during her stay?
  16. Yes, and we'll send you a Whatsapp photo once he/she has settled in.
